Ottawa is the capital city of Canada and is located on the
southern shore of the Ottawa River bordering Quebec from Ontario.
The small capital is full of government buildings and elaborate
architecture.
Picture 4 shows the bridge over the frozen river to Hull
in Quebec.
5 and 6 are from the Supreme Court of Canada which is west
of Parliament Hill on the edge of the river.
7-10 show the frozen canal which is used by people to skate
to and from work or simply for pleasure.
The rest of the photographs show various snow and ice sculptures
that dominated the areas between the canal, City Hall and
Elgin Street as part of the Ottawa winter festival called
Winterlude.
